Welcome to our B&B. Agna Maertens will be happy to welcome you at Guesthouse Mirabel, a cosy B&B in the heart of Bruges. We took over the bed & breakfast in March 2020 and started with passion on a challenging and creative renewal project. Today, we are happy to welcome you in the beautifully renovated and refreshed 19th century mansion ( the renovation will be fully ready at the beginning of June 2021) with a rich history. As a floral designer, Agna often gives workshops in the barrel-vaulted basement of the B&B. Flowers and works of art give a unique, colourful touch to our guesthouse.

Building with a history

In 1305, the 'Boomgaerdstrate' was mentioned for the first time as a location where international trade was conducted. In the meantime, the orchard made way for stately mansions and monuments such as the 16th-century former Jesuit College and St. Walburga's Church.

Guesthouse Mirabel in Bruges has an old core with beams and stepped gable, and was completely rebuilt in 1861 by architect Isidore Alleweireldt in the neoclassical style. The stepped gable was replaced by a richly decorated frame gable with barred cellar openings, a cast-iron foot scraper, high windows with French balconies on the upper floors and an entablature with a cornice. There are also modillons and a frieze filled with a profiled moulding, each interrupted by a flower. On the ground floor, there is the vestibule with marble floor and panelling, a high double door in glass, a monumental staircase hall, reception room, breakfast room, decorated moulded and plastered ceilings with millstones and rosettes and a wide white marble fireplace.

Location near places of interest

Guesthouse Mirabel is situated in a real top location in the heart of the most historical and enchanting city of Flanders and at 200 metres distance from the City Hall and Market Square. Easy, cosy, luxurious and enjoyable, an ideal stay. The Sint-Annarei is around the corner. From our B&B you can enjoy panoramic views of the roofs of Bruges, St. Anna's Church and the Jerusalem Church.

Contemporary luxury

In the reception area, you can relax during your stay and enjoy soft background music. Delicious coffee - made with a professional machine using fresh beans - tea and water are available free of charge.

Each room is equipped with individual air conditioning. The rooms are tastefully decorated with panelling and antique elements from the Louis-XVI, Gustavian, Empire, Directoire and Napoleion III periods. They have a private bathroom in Italian marble with double sink, bathtub and shower. Each room is equipped with herringbone parquet, a king-size bed, a minibar, flat-screen TV and free high-speed WIFI.

There is now a lift that takes you to the mezzanine floors of the guest rooms, which are on the second and third floor.

We have 5 guest rooms. 3 luxury rooms for 2 persons and 2 suites for 3 persons. The suites have a larger room with a double bed and a smaller room with a single bed. Children are welcome from the age of 12. All rooms are non-smoking and pets are not allowed. We also have a water genius system, so there is drinkable, soft water everywhere. And after a refreshing sleep, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast.

How to check in?

Please check out around 11 a.m. and check in from 2 p.m. Please let us know your estimated time of arrival so that we can welcome you personally. Your bags can be placed in the luggage room if you arrive earlier or leave later.

Are you arriving by car? Then you can park in the neighbouring streets or in the nearby underground guarded car park, such as Alfapark (parking de Langestraat) in Predikerenrei 4a for 14.40 euros per day. These car parks have a charging point for electric cars.

Travelling by public transport? Then you can easily reach us by taxi from the train station or by direct bus to the nearby stop along the Coupure.
